Loughborough, Leicestershire LE11 3TU
We really hope you’ll choose to come along to this exciting event. Whether you are a peer supporter, a local breast feeder, interested member of the public or a professional working in this area, we hope this will serve to maintain a united approach to the encouragement and maintenance of breastfeeding across Leicestershire. There will be plenty of opportunity to find out what’s happening around the county and make useful connections. The subjects we have chosen to cover and the speakers we have engaged will, we’re certain, be of great interest to all who attend and will hopefully, as it says, inspire and enthuse.
Speakers and topics include:
- Dr. Margot Sunderland, an internationally renowned child psychologist and psychotherapist explaining the vital link between close relationships with our babies and their developing brains.
- Denise Pemberton, a lactation consultant, talking on Tongue Tie and its effect on breastfeeding.
- Carole Fishwick and the Infant Feeding Team on the strategic support for breastfeeding within Leicestershire.
- Peer Support telephone helpline responses.
Two afternoon workshops from a choice of 6 interesting subjects should continue the buzz. A large exhibition space will host interesting stalls and some interactive displays.
